Yes guys, you can still upgrade your windows 7 or 8.1 operating system to windows 10 for free, but hurry, the offer ends in less than a week. Windows 10 was officially released on the 29th of July 2015, it was made to succeed the windows 8.1 OS which was released in 2013 and had mixed reactions from the general tech scene especially with the complete redesign of the start menu which became a start screen.
Microsoft learned a lot from their mistakes with 8 and 8.1, so they gave us something special with windows 10. Microsoft first offered a free windows 10 upgrade in May 2015 which ended on the anniversary of when the OS was released. But there was a loophole. Microsoft has given windows 7 and 8.1 users another means of upgrading their old PCs which may soon be coming to an end.
The new upgrade to windows 10 page now says you can upgrade your OS for free but you can only do so before the 16th of this month, when it expires. This may not be the case though because last year the page read that the offer was to expire on the 31st of December, so I think they might extend it a bit more, but that's just my opinion.
